Kalibr · collection policy v6

Terms & Conditions

Using Kalibr includes automatic gameplay recording for the service, measurement and research purposes described in the Privacy statement, plus configured general usage analytics. There is no pre-play acceptance prompt or in-app collection switch. Research uses a code rather than your name. Saved history requires sign-in. Request deletion at admin@usekalibr.com.

1 · The service

Kalibr provides short games (“instruments”). Modes with an active measurement path can produce provisional estimates with uncertainty. Competitive ratings require signed, server-verified competitive evidence; solo play and bots do not write ratings. Gameplay recording alone does not establish a cognitive measure. Kalibr measures; it does not train, diagnose, or provide medical or psychological advice.

2 · Data we collect

If you create an account, Kalibr may store account information you provide, such as your name and email. When you play, Kalibr collects per-trial interactions and response timing, scores, ratings and rating uncertainty, session metadata (game, seed, date), and device context (viewport, input modality, display characteristics) used for the purposes below. Some demo data may also be stored in your browser’s local storage. Administrator question research can use an AI provider and web sources, as described in the Privacy statement.

3 · Optional context you provide

If you choose, you can tell Kalibr your year of birth, location, education, field, work status, and gender. The answers stay in your browser’s local storage, separate from your measurement data, and are not submitted with your sessions. Kalibr uses this context for two things only: framing your results against comparable players once a real comparison pool exists (always as bands — an age band or a region, never your exact answers), and aggregate research on instrument fairness. Kalibr deliberately does not collect sensitive attributes such as race or ethnicity in this build; if that ever changes, it will be a separate, explicitly consented step, used only in de-identified aggregate for fairness research, and never shown as a per-person comparison.

Profile choices you explicitly save for personalisation are private by default. They shape game discovery only and do not affect your Score or any future Certified Measure.

Reflections, feedback and game suggestions are optional. Only pressing Save or Send submits your text and any voice recording to Kalibr. Your submissions are available to you and authorized Kalibr staff, not other players. They help you keep a strategy history and help Kalibr understand gameplay, difficulty and requested features. Original voice recordings are stored for later transcription. They do not change ratings or measurements.

4 · Automatic gameplay recording and analytics

Kalibr automatically collects gameplay actions, results and supported detailed replay data when you play. Fathom research records include optional submitted estimates and 90% ranges, published contract descriptions, information-presentation timing and separately recorded host market events. Draft forecasts and unrelated typing are not collected. This build has no pre-play agreement prompt and no in-app switch to disable collection. A collection-policy record describes automatic processing; it does not record that you accepted Terms or gave consent.

Research uses a code instead of your name. Kalibr can link coded records back to your account, so this is pseudonymous personal data, not anonymous data. Your private history remains linked to you. Automatic collection does not give permission to display your name in research views.

General usage analytics is collected automatically through the configured analytics service. There is no in-app collection switch. Deletion requests go to admin@usekalibr.com. Deleting stored information is separate from future collection if you keep using Kalibr.

Configured product analytics uses PostHog to record pages opened, buttons pressed and session completion. It excludes official ratings and optional context answers. Detailed gameplay collection uses a separate first-party capture service. The Privacy statement describes game-specific recordings, provider processing and private playback.

5 · How we use it

(a) Measurement — computing and displaying your results and ratings. (b) Research — studying and improving the validity of cognitive instruments; findings may be published only in aggregate or de-identified form. (c) Commercial — Kalibr may monetize insights derived from gameplay data, for example benchmark distributions or instrument norms, only in de-identified, aggregate form. Kalibr does not sell data that identifies you.

6 · What we will not do

Results come from recorded play; synthetic opponents and cohorts are labelled. Multiplayer modes display participant information and results needed for the mode, including room leaderboards where supported. Providers process data for their roles, and lawful disclosures may be required. The Privacy statement explains recipients and visibility. Personal replays are private and access-restricted.

7 · Export and deletion

The device data controls export or erase supported browser-held data. They do not delete server records or turn off collection on future use. Account and server-side deletion is handled by the administrator.

Stored private replays have no automatic expiry. To request account or server-side data deletion, email admin@usekalibr.com; Kalibr's administrator handles requests personally. There is no self-service server deletion. Clearing device data does not delete server records or disable collection when you play again. Applicable erasure rights and retention exceptions are described in the Privacy statement.

Reflections and feedback, including voice recordings, are stored in Kalibr's PostgreSQL database on Railway, with your account or possession-bound guest identity and submission time. They have no automatic expiry. Request access or deletion at admin@usekalibr.com. Device-data export and deletion do not include or erase these server-side submissions. Signing in does not automatically claim guest submissions; adding them to your account requires separate confirmation on the feedback page.

For account closure, access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, portability or personalisation requests, email the Kalibr administrator at admin@usekalibr.com. Valid requests through other available contact channels are also recognised. Device erasure does not close your account or erase server copies. Verification, response times and rights are explained in the Privacy statement.

8 · Age

You must be 16 or older (or the age of digital consent where you live) to play.

9 · Changes

Technical collection-policy records are not agreement or consent receipts. Material changes to processing must be explained. Processing that legally requires consent must not begin until valid consent has been obtained. This build has no pre-play Terms prompt or collection-disable setting.
